Due Date: Tuesday, April 30, 2019

Criteria: Eligible students are attending or planning to attend an institution of higher learning in the immediately following year and resided in one of the following NC towns when Hurricane Matthew occurred: Fair Bluff, Kinston, Lumberton, Princeville, Seven Springs, or Windsor. Applicants will be considered based on the severity of the impact of the disaster on their lives, their financial need, and how they have demonstrated resilience in overcoming obstacles related to the disaster. ESSAY PROMPT: Please describe how your life, including your educational path, has been impacted by Hurricane Matthew and the obstacles that you have overcome since the hurricane.
